What Unjunk accesses

When you choose to connect Gmail, Unjunk requests permission to group messages by sender, identify Gmail categories, verify unsubscribe headers, archive or move selected messages to Trash, and create an exact-sender block filter when you ask it to.

What Unjunk does not collect

Unjunk does not request, read, transmit, or store email subjects, message bodies, attachments, or snippets. Gmail access tokens stay in the open browser tab and are not sent to Good Tools. Unjunk has no mailbox database, advertising tracker, or analytics service.

How Unjunk protects Gmail data

Gmail API requests travel directly between your browser and Google over encrypted HTTPS connections. Good Tools servers do not receive your Gmail messages, message metadata, or OAuth access token.

Unjunk keeps the temporary OAuth access token only in the memory of your open browser tab. It is not written to cookies, local storage, server logs, or a database. Reloading or closing the tab, or choosing Disconnect, clears the token from Unjunk. You can also revoke Unjunk at any time from your Google Account’s third-party access settings.

Unjunk minimizes access to the message IDs and selected headers required to group senders and safely identify unsubscribe options, including From, List-Unsubscribe, List-Unsubscribe-Post, Precedence, and Authentication-Results. It does not request subjects, bodies, attachments, or snippets. Because Good Tools keeps no server-side copy of Gmail data or access tokens, there is no central mailbox-content store for Good Tools staff or other users to access.

Information stored on your device

Keep and Ignore choices may be saved in your browser’s local storage. These preferences contain no email content or Google credentials. You can remove them by clearing this site’s browser data.

Google user data

Unjunk’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes you request

Unjunk changes Gmail only after you choose and confirm an action. Trash means Gmail Trash, not permanent deletion. Questionable unsubscribe links are never opened automatically.
